02/09/2008  Young Europeans test their knowledge online

How do you establish an intercultural dialogue without leaving the class room? Internet is the answer.

In the Europe Game ‘that’s eUrope’ young people from all over Europe are able to test their knowledge about the continent. Politics, culture, geography and sports are only some of the topics in which the knowledge of the young people is tested. Since May 2008 already 300 encounters between school classes and youth groups from 28 states have been accomplished.

The whole campaign, supported by the European Parliament, takes place on the website www.european-online-learning.eu The Europe Game can be played in ten different languages until March 2009 on a daily basis. The three winning teams will receive prize money in a total amount of 3000 Euro. Registrations for participation can be made on the above mentioned website or via the organizer Bürger Europas e.V. under online@buerger-europas.de.
