New tool sheds light on key European Parliament and political group votes
The Greens/EFA group in the European Parliament has launched an online 'vote tracker': http://greens-efa-service.org/votetracker/
The tool, which has been online since the beginning of May, compares key votes across priority policy areas for the Greens/EFA group: economic, social and employment, environment, safe and sustainable food, transparency, civil liberties, climate and energy. It aims to shed some light on the complex process of EP votes, allowing users to compare how their MEPs voted - to see whether their deeds matched their words.
How it works:
Click on the different issues to find out how MEPs voted. Once you have chosen the issue, you can select (from the drop-down menus) to see how a whole political group voted (EU-wide) or how MEPs from the same group in your country voted, with an explanation of the vote. There is also a linked pdf listing how all individual MEPs voted, ordered by country and then by party.
